Strewth Possum! is a series of fun early childhood financial literacy picture books based on everyday money situations. These books teach and instil simple and smart money habits from a young age, including ways to save, spend and make money.

Meet Sara Czerny.

Sara Czerny is a mother of two and the creator of the Strewth Possum! picture book series.

Having grown up with strong money sensibilities from her own parents, it was important that her children also have these values and learnt from a young age, or as soon as her toddler started to make demands.

While on maternity leave with her second little possum, Sara organised a small fundraiser to purchase early childhood financial literacy books for the childcare centres in her shire, proudly supplying 10 centres with a set of four books each. While researching literature, she quickly discovered that there was very little available on this topic for this age group, especially from Australian authors.

With a desire to fill this gap in education, and passionate about financial literacy, it was during her toddlers swimming lesson that the Strewth Possum! series was born.
